The GVF album I've been waiting for
Beautifully crafted sonic journey, make this one part of your library. The influences from the past have been refined into their own voice, absolutely fantastic.
Nah, They're trying too hard now
By DJ Guy
Their first release had a few awesome songs, the second one, even less. This one, not a single song does a thing for me. Over the top vocal mastering (way too much studio, he's better than that), good solid band, okay’ish melodies (at best).

Can’t stop listening to it!
All I can say
is that I've sifted through thousands and thousands of hours of music from all genres over many years. The last album that was on continous play in my head like this was the Clash's "Sandinista". I did not see this coming.
Rock n Roll
I like the hard rock attitude but they are still trying to sound like something they are not and when they finally let go of that they might be able to form an original sound. Also the lead singer shrieks on every track. Maybe we can get to hear his actual singing voice some day?
You came of age today

With every album, Greta Van Fleet further develops their own sound and style. The name comes with a lot of expectations, but just listen to the album for yourself. It is a great piece of music from beginning to end. And don’t sleep on “trip the light fantastic”, one of my favorite tracks. Buy it nerd.
GVF and their new album The Battle at Garden’s Gate makes me realize how much I’ve missed good Rock music! Thank you!
Going Through the Garden's Gate
By Muddy Little Darling
I purchased the tie dye vinyl from the bands website, and the digital format via iTunes.
The vinyl sounds 10x better. The few reviews I've read online seemed as though the listener was a bit confused; drawn in (can't stop listening), drawn out (fingers in ears), and this seemed to be focused on Josh's vocal range.
I listened to the digital copy at home on the same speakers that I listened to the vinyl on, and the vinyl is so much more enjoyable. There is so much depth and energy and the vocals translate brilliantly through the vinyl. The digital format just doesn't cut it, and seems over bearing at times.
With that said, after the listening to side A of the vinyl I texted a friend and said this was hands down one of the best introductions to an album in a very long time!
You wil enjoy this tremendous effort by Greta Van Fleet, but you'll enjoy even more on vinyl.
I'll save the digital copy for my car.
Such an amazing album
